With many vibrant cities, tranquil beaches, and scenic landscapes, the 2,000-mile coastline that forms the eastern United States of America is home to some of the most beautiful sights in the American continent.

To help you visit the best in this part of the world, we have made a short list of favorite places that we think will really amaze you:

New York City. New York City should be on the itinerary of any traveler visiting America’s east coast. It is the birthplace of Hip Hop and R&B. How can you miss a visit to the city that never sleeps? Not only that, but with more than 8 million people in the city, the unique atmosphere makes you feel like a real city resident in no time.

Obviously, if you visit the city for the first time, you must reach the most famous places in the city. These include the vibrant Times Square, the Statue of Liberty, the Central Park, and the Empire State Building. If you have the opportunity and more time, we also recommend that you watch Broadway shows, as there are the best and most important plays and musicals around the world.

Statue of Liberty

Boston – Massachusetts. Boston is more than just a top university city, it’s a city with great nightlife, colorful pedestrian markets and lots of green parks. Take a quick stroll through Boston Public Garden, attend baseball at Fenway Park and eat local food at the famous Quincy Market. And do not forget to visit Plymouth Rock, Bacon Hill and Freedom Trail, and last but not least, go to Harvard University, which is considered one of the most prestigious universities in the United States.

Washington, D.C. Even if you don’t like politics, you should stop at the famous Capitol Hill, the seat of government and the White House – the official residence of the president. The city also includes some of the nation’s best museums, including the National Museum of American History, the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, the National Gallery of Art, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and the International Espionage Museum. At the same time, we recommend that you spend a few hours on the Eastern Market and have lunch at Busboys and Poets, one of the most famous restaurants in Washington.

Chicago – Illinois. Located on the shores of the Great Lakes, Chicago, also known as “Windy City” is where the first skyscraper appeared. Chicago is a vibrant city and is home to jazz and blues, and the center of a host of exciting attractions such as Could Gate, also known as The Bean (an ideal architectural piece, made of 168 polished stainless steel panels designed by architect Anish Kapoor), Millenium Park and Riverwalk (a stunning park dominated by skyscrapers).

Miami, Florida. Miami is a lively, extravagant, sunny and unique city. It houses some of the best restaurants in the country, beautiful Art Deco architectural buildings and a picturesque coastline. Visit Little Havana, try Cuban food at Versailles and spend a few hours in Everglades National Park. And if you want to buy some souvenirs or something else, we recommend going to Lincoln Road, the city’s best-selling street, full of markets and shops.

Many cities and other interesting places are worth a visit on the east coast of the United States of America. But to be able to visit everything, it takes months – or even years.
