There are many options in London for tourism activities, but what happens when you leave the city? If your journey to the amazing Britain capital contains few days, we advise you to spend one day at least outside the city, there are some places and tourist attractions certainly deserve to go to it by car or bus.

Stonehenge, a famous site located in Wiltshire, 120 kilometers from England’s capital, you can get there either by a rented car or public transport, the easiest way to reach Stonehenge is to take a bus from  Victoria Station or train to Salisbury, from Salisbury to your destination, it’s about 16 kilometers and it’s the distance that you could take it by a cab or local bus.

Stonehenge might be the oldest place to visit in the united kingdom, if not on earth, it’s a monument consists of giant stones, Archaeologists believe it was set from 3000 BC to 2000 BC, monument origin is unknown , and it’s also unknown why or how it was built, at that time humans didn’t had the technological or architectural ability to rise such great rocks, still its known the monument is not just a coincidence, stones go along with the sunrise and  sunset of summer sun.

Windsor Castle

Windsor was built in the 11th century as a fort, it could be reached by Windsor & Eton Riverside railway station, you can also take a bus from Victoria Station to reach the castle, the visit should be between 3 and 5 hours, including the required time on the road, so we advise to devote a whole day for this famous site.

Inside the castle you will find pieces of art and weapons back to medieval ages and historical monuments, and if you were lucky you will see a member of the royal family in a visit there, Windsor is not just a museum, but one of the royals’s vacation homes, one of the main attraction in the castle is Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, you will visit the public apartments decorated with antique furniture and valuable pieces of art.

Roman Baths

Baths are reachable by bus from Victoria Station, one day it was a popular spot amongst people around the world, who came here looking for treatment to various illnesses they have suffered, it was built since more than 2000 years, first it was constructed by the Celtics, but the Romanians took control of it after conquering the city, created above hot fountains of rain fallen on Mendip Hills, meanwhile, no one bathe in this place because of diseases, the water is so dirty now, still tourists are invited to a walk and to take pictures of the spectacular historical place, but particularly to discover the amazing stories beyond the construct.

Oxford

The charming city is home to one of famous universities in the world, the visit is only for one day trip outside London, the university which includes 40 colleges some of it new and some of it is more than 800 year old, have a great architecture, spread over one kilometer radius, explore some of these colleges and relax among the students mood by setting on the river banks or even better, visit Bodleian Library which considered one of the oldest libraries in Europe, where it has more than 12 million books.
